In February, a genealogical discussion of the charter members of the church was held. Charlie Wood, a descendant of one of the early families, presented data he has collected which includes many fifth and sixth generation descendants that are attending Lone Star today. The Anniversary Committee is requesting old photographs, newspaper clippings, and other interesting artifacts to be brought to the church for scanning. A powerpoint presentation is being made to share with all the members to connect the past with the present and to build for the future. Each month, an activity or event is planned to connect the generations and celebrate 100 years of love and service, and to give thanks for the blessings we have been given. Praise be to God for all He has done. |
